A few days ago, the spokesperson for Chinese Foreign Ministry expressed her strong disapproval of and objection to Blinken, the U.S. Secretary of State who said that the U.S. will continue to do and say what China dislikes.

The spokesperson said as follows:

The U.S., out of the wrong perception about China, is pursuing a wrong policy towards China. It is encircling and putting pressure on it. It is also unreasonably criticizing and insulting China and interfering in its internal affairs at will.

China resolutely opposes what the U.S. says or does in disregard of the fundamental principles of international relations.

What I want to emphasize once again is that mutual respect is the most basic principle that countries should adhere to during their exchanges, while at the same time, it is indispensable for co-existence between China and the U.S.

In conclusion, the spokesperson strongly called for the U.S. to refrain from uttering irresponsible remarks and deliver on its promises.
