Description
Proletarian Democracy is Genuine Democracy sums up the political processes in socialist societies such as Albania opposite the bourgeois and late revisionist countries, explaining the former for its service in the will of the people and the latter as a rubberstamp in the hands of the monopolies, cartels and the old ruling order. Comrade Enver Hoxha addresses the very life of socialist democracy, which corresponds to the basic interest of the workers and peasants in opposition to exploitation, oppression and wage slavery. This life means candidates for legislative bodies are selected at the base from among the people, entrusted for their high spirit of work and their dedication to the masses. It means their continual and growing empowerment and the daily shrinking of bureaucracy. On the other hand, in the bourgeois and late revisionist countries, candidates were and are selected by the bourgeoisie, given all the funding and all the opportunities. While the disputes in parliament which allegedly prove democracy and differences of opinion, etc. are nothing more than the facade of a talk-shop seeking to conceal the real backroom deals made by gangsters, politicians and the bourgeoisie to the detriment of the people. To be modern and democratic at this stage of development means to take up the interests of the working class and fight for its empowerment.
